giomap is built on open, authoritative data, used with attribution.

  • Concession boundaries — Global Forest Watch Open Data / WRI (Gabon forest licenses; Republic of Congo logging concessions) and national Forest Atlases. Simplified for display.
  • Deforestation / tree-cover loss & alerts — Global Forest Watch (UMD/Hansen tree-cover loss; GLAD & RADD alerts).
  • EUDR 2020 forest baseline — EU Forest Observatory (JRC) Global Forest Cover/Types 2020.
  • Per-plot deforestation checks — Whisp (WRI/FAO).
  • Base map — OpenStreetMap contributors & CARTO.
  • Enforcement / regulatory events — official notices and reputable trade press, each event source-linked.

Data is provided "as is" for discovery and triage. It has no legal value in itself; the EUDR Due Diligence Statement and the compliant geodata are produced via the Plot Pack. See our methodology.
