About giomap
giomap is an independent live map of timber (and mining) concessions in the Congo Basin and beyond, combining open deforestation data with curated timber-trade enforcement and regulatory events — built for the people who have to comply with the EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR).
The EUDR requires every harvest plot to be geolocated, with a GeoJSON boundary polygon for plots over 4 hectares, shown deforestation-free since 31 December 2020. We make that visible: find a concession, see its EUDR geolocation requirement and the public deforestation signals around it, and — if you need the compliant artifact — order an audit-ready Plot Pack.
We present observed, source-cited open data. We are not a certification body, and we do not assess or accuse companies of wrongdoing. See our methodology and data sources.
